With summer comes planning for the upcoming Scouting year. I have already spoken to many unit leaders who have already started their planning process. Eagle Valley is still working on putting together its calendar for upcoming year but some important dates to keep in mind are:

If you haven’t already done so, please register your unit at Trail's End for this fall’s Popcorn Fundraiser. This is a great opportunity to raise money for your unit and help support council programs and camps. Last year Eagle Valley had 5 units sell more than $10,000, with the average unit selling almost $6,000!

All the successful units do this! Keep your Scouts active over the summer and help them complete their Summertime Fun Adventures by completing one each, Council Activity, Pack Activity, and Den Activity.

The Mon Valley Chamber of Commerce is looking for help to complete a couple of service projects. If your unit would be interested in helping them with the following items, please let me know and I will put you in touch with their director.

The Scout Shop will be closed on Friday's through August.
